The plastic is actually 6mil plastic that came in a roll 10' x 100'. We bought it at Lowe's for around $50.00. We sprayed the grass with weed/grasskiller before rolling out the plastic and fastened it down with landscaping pins. The manufactrer recommended a six foot clearance all the way around the playset which is why the area is so big. The only reason we are mulching it is not for safety, but because Chad didn't want to mow around it. I would have preferred it on the grass. Plus it would have been a lot less work!
And yes, we have a big yard, 2 acres almost equally split between the front and back. I'd like to have more-if our neighbor ever dies or moves, we want to buy his land too. I like my privacy!

Oh, so when you said you got it at Sam's Club in the initial post, that meant that you got it at Sam's Club?
Sorry, my reading comprehension skills must be going...
Impressive turnaround time to get it put together though. It looks great. I bet it will get a lot of use and abuse.
Did the big black plastic tarp(s) come with it?
Wow that looks awsome. I am so envious it looks so good and you seem to have a ton of property. Great Job!
